WWII Uniforms Needed for San Diego Veterans Home Event

Attn fellow Calgunners!

The Veterans Home in Chula Vista is hosting a WWII Spirit of '45 Event for their residents. They are looking for WWII uniforms (all branches) that may be loaned for a weekend FOR DISPLAY ONLY.

The event will be on 14 August with times yet to be determined.

This will be a private event and will NOT be open to the public. The home is merely trying to bring some joy to the residents while celebrating the service of our WWII soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines!

You might want to check with local American Legion posts, re en-actors organizations and school drama departments.

I remembered there was some re enactors who went to a WW2 event at Ft MacArhur. Maybe you could get a hold of them.
How about the USS Midway?
