I don't see many mid or late 20th century C&Rs in the Exchange and wonder why?
There are MANY desirable guns that qualify but don't show up there--for example Ruger Standard and MK I .22 autos that have non-prefix serial numbers under 250296 (made at the end of 1964--there are actually thousands made in 1965, and some of them are C&R. But let's not get picky....). ALL Colt .22s of the Woodsman family qualify: "pre-Woodsman," all models of Woodsman, all Huntsman, Targetsman, Challengers--regardless of date of manufacture. All pre-64 Winchesters.
And many Savage 99s, 219/220s, all 23s, many 340s, and on and on. It takes a little research to figure out what guns qualify, i.e. determine date of manufacture, but that's what the internet and this forum is for, no?
Is there a Calguns rule against "double posting" a gun, say, putting a C&R Ruger on both the Exchange and the "Handguns for Sale" forums?
