    K31 in Bay Area

    Hi guys

Anyone know of a place in the bay area that I might be able to view/buy some K31s?

    Thanks

I've been wondering this myself to see one outside of a photo/video. Triple A's in Vallejo had a few C&R guns the times I've been in there. J&R Sports in Livermore also normally has a stock of old rifles. They might be worth calling. It's been a while since I've gone to either store (before the recent shipments of K31's to AIM Surplus at least)

I've wondered about finding surplus High Powers locally myself

Possibly gun vault in San Jose. They used to have a bunch of various C&Rs, but it's been a few months since I've been there.

And BAGV has a few C&Rs, don't recall if the k31 was among them though.

BTW, which Bay Area? North or south?
          Sorry, not sorry.

I'd stay away from those Swiss rifles. They tend to multiply and send the owner into a fit of joy without warning. You have been warned.

Nice thing about the k31 is, you can't really find a bad one out there, comparing to other milsurps. They rarely seen any battle, and shot even less. It's come down to stock color, how "beaver chewed" the stock maybe and the presence of troop tags. Fwiw

The only exception to the K31 quest is for the person with ageing eyes. For the most part they shoot very well. A scope is the way to go and it's not hard with the K31. The easiest mount is on the right side. Takes getting used to. Still in the adjustment phase. Feels like the bolt action match shooter for me. Look at the Swiss Central sticky above.

Yes, please continue to discount the K31 because it was not "battle tested". More for the rest of us.

The K31 is a finely made rifle. They were also well maintained and stored so if you find one it will most likely be in good working order.

Grind that follower down for smooth drop and feed operation in the K31 so you can single load/fire faster in combat.
