    Glendale gun show find

I had turned in a order for a 1903A3 to the CMP but I was really hesitant to do so considering it was a questionable rifle sight un-seen. Well I went to the Glendale gun show this weekend and found a 1903A2 for 650 from a dealer. The bore was in great shape, wood was great, metal, while worn, was in good shape, honestly better than my Turners M1 which was a CAI reciever and SA parts rifle and cost me 5 bills. The barrel says RA 4-43. Once CMP processes my order (still in a pile of mail) I will call to cancel.
    Here are some pictures.

BTW there was a dealer upstairs selling 03's and man were they snobby and there rifles were almost twice as much and not that much better IMHO. This one has character.

Darn it! I knew there was something I wanted to do today, but couldn't remember what it was. Guess I ended up saving some money instead by not going. I always spend a couple $100 on ammo and stuff.

Very nice but how did you do a cash and carry at the gun show? They are very strict about that at the shows.

Did you get it on the lower floor, I think I looked at that rifle, the seller had a few, and he was a nice guy. The other seller you mentioned is very knowledgable, just comes off a little harsh at times.

I have one also, love it, congrats on your purchase!!

What's the difference between the 03A3 and 03A2? They look very similar..

the 1903A2 was a subcaliber device made from a barred 03 action inserted into the breech of an artillery piece for short range practice. the 1903A3 is the rifle pictured in this thread. I think the earlier writing of '03A2' was a typo.
