    What not-your-go-to (C&R) Range Gun?

OK - Know we know what's your favorite C&R range gun, so what is your least favorite and why?
    (Please post pics!)

For me it's the Steyr M95 (in 8X56r) for a couple a reasons:
    1) It's just a plain a** kicker to shoot! A large cal round in a light gun = a** kicker!
((Hell it's even know to make grown men (almost) cry!))
    2) Ammo - Expensive (all though I do a several hundred rounds for it) and I don't reload.....yet.

    These two.
Least favorite for shooting reasons, but high on my favorite list for collectibility

The Nagant is anemic, expensive to shoot and has a finger breaking trigger.

The bringback papered High Power is in such good condition I'm afraid to damage it.

    C&R nut.

      Lee-Enfield No.4, Mk.1

Make no mistake, I love my LE. It's a sweet shooting rifle.

But ammo isn't cheap, and I haven't started reloading for it yet.

Another one for the Nagant revolver......
That trigger is a beast, the shells sometimes get stuck in the cylinder, and well, I really hate the trigger........

My G43 near close to never used - If I broke a part, and parts break easily, I'd lose half its value.

Portuguese 'mauser.' it's more a lookin-at gun than a shootin' gun.

the rifle I hunt with is a C&R. does that count? it's a tool for harvesting game and only once a year needs checked for zero. 10 rounds max.

except for the true collectibles, all the others rotate. every thing earns it's keep- either fun to shoot or more valuable to not.

These. Ghost rifling makes hitting anything beyond 4" from the muzzle nearly impossible.

M44. Just because hammering the bolt out of battery with my palm gets old after a few rounds.

First you are chopping up historic vintage rifles and sticking them in cheap and nasty looking plastic "dildo" stocks that look like some kind of futuristic sex toy that gay space aliens stick up each other's butts.

My 91/30 had the same issue. I polished the chamber and have not developed any problems since. No longer having to slap the bolt open like a Russian mail order bride makes it a better range experience.

The 91/30 is the only rifle I avoid shooting in the sitting position until the end of the day. Save's the shoulder.

Pre-1900 Smith & Wesson New Model No. 3 (3-digit serial #). Among my favorite to own, but least favorite to shoot. It's in 32-44 caliber and ammo is rarer than hen's teeth.

Why? Due to hard to take apart bolt? I love mine. For me anything that takes expensive ammo or can break hard to get parts. I rarely shoot Arisakas, Dutch Mannlichers, Levels, Berthiers, Carcanos. Even 8x57 and 303 is getting hard to feed cheaply.

Mosins and SKS's are more likely to get shot by me the rest mainly collected. I did shoot my Nagant revolver yesterday it does suck as mentioned but gun oozes history. Non import marked 1929 Tula that came in a beat up Luger holster of all my guns if one could talk that would maybe be the one I'd choose to tell me it's story.

Today I am shooting a Win 97 from 1901, a non import marked worn Persian Mauser and a M1 carbine, except for 12 ga these are guns I'd rather not waste ammo for 30carbine is a bit pricey too.

Well if I had to choose one it would be the Enfield No. 5 MK 1 "Jungle Carbine". Ammo is pricey and it's a shoulder thumper.
Second would be any Mosin after shooting corrosive surplus ammo and having to flush the bore.

P64. Snappy muzzle flip and a tendency of slide to start wearing away on the webbing between my thumb after a few mags earned it a spot deep in the back of the safe until I sold it.
