    Albanian SKS

I've come across a #s matching Albanian SKS. It looks brand new, blue about 98-99% and wood dinged but not too bad. Bore is excellent/new.

I've seen mixed reviews on these. I know they are rare and unique but are they $425 unique? It seems like a lot but with Yugos at Big 5 for $399 it's really not too bad.

Sadly when I was trying to sell my 1950 Russian I couldnt get more than $400.

I love my Albanians, however I paid $90 when AIM first got them. They are different and are indeed collectors, but $425 seems high. There was one on gunboards that went for $300.

Saw one at the last Cow Palace show for $450. I thought it was too much and regret not buying one for $200 when I had the chance.

Alan's Armory is selling Yugo 59's for around $260-ish if you just want an SKS and aren't too finicky. No GL and no chrome-lined bore.

I still have my Russian SKS.

I just like the look of the Albys.

For some reason 99% of the Albanians looked as though they were dragged behind a Truck ,bicycle or at least a skateboard for varying distances if you went by the condition of the Wood/furniture but if a "Really nice" example is found that looks as though it was just dropped off the truck and picked up right away insted of being dragged around a while it would be worth $400.00 THESE DAYS ! (and a 1950 Russian SKS has spring loaded firing pin from factory as does the 1949 and some early 1951's thus it's value should be higher than a 52-4 ...)
