Enfields and Mausers. Tough to tell how bad the rust is.

Need to be able to see the markings as well.

Yep, top two are Enfield No. I Mk III*'s. Not in the best of shape.

Bottom three are Mausers, but they're not your run of the mill Kar 98k's.

      3rd down I think is a Swedish Mauser M/96
4th down I think is a Spanish Mauser Model 93 or Argentine 1909 rifle.
5th down I think might be an Argentine 1909 carbine but that I'm not as sure.

holy cow those are in poor shape
Not worth a lot but they are worth something to someone

        correct me if I'm wrong
enfields are worth about 300 if there in good shape
mousers are worth about 100 in good shape

without touchin them I would say these are probably at 30%

A Mauser worth $100 in good shape? That's funny. Most intact German Mausers are worth many times that (as are most other variants, with the exception of Turkish annd the Yugos that don't have much value).

You need to know what you are looking at to make that kind of assessment.

The interesting thing I see in those pictures are the straight stocked Mausers (maybe a 1916?).

The 5th one looks like an 1895 chilean calvary mauser.

0000 Bronze or steel wool on the metal and use plenty of oil.

Transmission fluid and a real copper penny work good for rust removal. A fellow calgunner turned me on to this trick and although it takes some elbow grease, it does work pretty well. Soak the rusted parts with trans. fluid for a couple of hours(or more) and then scrape the rust away with a real copper penny, cleaning it often. You can substitute the penny with a piece of copper cut from a piece of copper pipe. In your case, it may take several applications, but the rust will come off without scratching the surfaces you are working on.

I'll give you $50 for the better of the two Enfields .

hoppes, 0000 fine wool, and CLP will do it...

be sure to do this in a well ventilated area. If you have never worked on wood or old guns before, I would not recommend attempting it.

Rust removal is never a bad thing.

I would only use bronze, steel on steel will leave marks.
