    Potential M96 Swed

Well I saw a nice ~75% 1917 M96 Swedish Mauser at my local shop. She looks used on the outside, beautiful mirror bore, and a couple of small parts force matched. They want $250 and are holding it for me until payday. Is the price a good reflection of the market?

I rarely see any Swede Mauser lower than $400, so yeah I'd say that is a good price.

Being a 1917, there is a possibility the stock could be Elm or other less common type of wood too. That's something I always look for when Swede shopping.

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

Mirror bore means tack driver. you won't regret buying a Swede.

The stock is not elm, but walnut (?).

Well another C&R to cast for, damn. Thanks guys.

You won't go wrong for $250. Besides you need a new caliber to reload for anyways.

Well, the 10 days has begun. I also noticed it was not threaded with a removable protector.

It should coincide with the Alumahyde 2 curing from the Suomi build.

I picked her up. She is underneath the A3. I had to rearrange the front of the safe to squeeze her in. Not bad for $297 out the door.
