Spanish Mauser chambered in 7mm. I believe it is called a "1916 short Mauser." -
^Yep ^
and if it has a flat bottom bolt face it started life as a Spanish Model 1893.
Be sure and confirm caliber before firing. Many were re-arsenaled and later chambered for the 7.62 CETME Spanish cartridge.
Are there markings on the left reciever rail?
If so please post a pic of them.Comment

It still has the "guardia civil" crest, that's a nice one.
It may be 7mm or 7.62.
If it's still 7x57 and it's matching, plus it has that crest, it's basically the holy grail of Spanish 1916 short rifles.Originally posted by GoodEyeSniperMy neighbors think I'm a construction worker named Bruce.
