Looks similar to an "Iver Johnson Gun & Cycle Works" top break hammerless .38 S&W. Is it a 5 cylinder? I'd give 20 bucks for it if he wants to off it. It would make a nice addition to my patent pending "Pistol Whipping Training Pistol" series. I have a couple of those old top breaks. A .32 & a .38 S&W. PAX
