    Gun Illustrations

Hi guys, I've been looking at understanding the differences in bolt designs, trigger mechanisms, gas systems, etc. that are out there in the C&R world. For personal knowledge and to appreciate the engineering genius and stupidity that made some firearms the best in the world and others the worst. The best way of examining these differences is looking at schematics or diagrams that show the exposed internals. Animations are really useful in seeing how it all works in action. I haven't had much luck finding clear illustrations that are readily available on the internet.

I was wondering if any of you might know of some online resources that show those kinds of diagrams of animations that display, with clarity, the internal mechanisms of some of the various firearms designs that are out there.

Doesn't seem like many animations are available.

I don't think many have done internal animations, other than the popular ones that the War Department did of the M1 Garand and a few others. I have seen a few here and there over the years but never at a central repository, I have seen them as signature images or on posts here and there. Maybe a central animation repository for C&Rs does exist somewhere?

          Try:

Historic Arms Resource Centre facility for British and Commonwealth Enfield and other Miniature calibre training and small-bore TARGET RIFLES (BSA- Birmingham Small Arms Co.), conversion units and accessories with representation of other nations' training rifles, plus Postal League competitions for those collecting and shooting such rifles

I am sure what you are looking for is out there somewhere but perhaps not all in one convenient web source.
