      That's because the parts kits the CAI junko receiver Garands were assembled from Garands made on WRA equipment for Denmark by the Italians post WW2, Breda and Beretta parts are high quality like the USGI.

          Now the owner thinks he will get 1,000 at auction . is their somebody out their that would pay that much for a CAI cast receiver ugly put together M1 .

            Sure, there may be someone who would pay that much for a CAI Garand.

                I saw one go for $600 on a Proxibid auction site a couple months back, I figured somebody was desperate for a Garand and didn't know what they were looking at OR they needed some Italian parts for a Beretta or Breda Garand.
