Hmm, I would go with the traditional caliber. 303 may be harder to find/more expensive, but it's correct.

.303 is less expensive than NATO. Check Samco.

I was just showing off some new unfired barrels. In the long term I will do both.
        Cheers

That ammo is not worth a darn. Pakistani .303 has a lot of duds and hangfires the UK made stuff is all old and has been stored badly. Might be worth pulling the bullets for reloading and selling the brass for scrap.

You had to tackle him to get it? That's not cricket!

I parked his car in and lay down in front of his shooting station and held onto his leg till he gave in. I think there was flowers and music, possibly an angle or two singing Danny Boy in the back ground.

I got two of my three 7.62 #4 barrels from fellow shooters on the CSP website. One guy had spent a couple of years pulling Canadian DCRA 7.62mm barrels from DCRA rifles and installing L39 barrels in their place. He was selling the pulled barrels so I bought one for $75. A couple years later a chap had the last of a stash of CAL/Long Branch 7.62mm barrels that he was getting rid of so I bought one of those. Added that to the AJ Parker 7.62mm barrel and that gave me 3 #4 rifles in 7.62mm. Life is good!

MJ I've never seen the type of 7.62mm barrel you have in the flesh so to speak but I remember when either Sarco or Numrich was selling them. They referred to the them as 'FAL profile' barrels. That was some years ago.

The thing with firearms is that they are not like any other consumer product, simple ownership of one carries a lot of responsibility.

I had to fight inspectors getting on and getting off the plane to keep it.

                              Thanks for the offer.
