    yugo m48

Big 5 has the Zastava m48 on sale for 280.00. Is that a decent price? I have C&R, do any of the mail order outfits have them cheaper?

$280 seems about right for an M48. Just make sure to ask them to see any others they might have in the back and pick the best one. Look for matching numbers, bore condition, etc.

Yikes. I just bought a numbers matching M48 from Big 5 ten days ago for $260 before all the gov't fees. Get to bring her home tomorrow.

M48s are well made, good looking shooters. Someday they may be a bit more collectible but for now, they are considered at the lower end of Mauserdom. I like shooting mine, it ignites those super hard Yugo 8mm primers no problem, whereas I have other Mausers that don't.

I got me a Yugo M48 from Big 5 a couple of months ago. I was able to handpick a nice one and with a discount coupon, I got the the rifle for $256. + tax and DROS. Going to go shoot it today.

$280. is a fair price for a rifle you can get your hands on and inspect.
