    Surplus Rifles by the crate?

So, one of the reasons I got my C&R was to buy a full crate of Mosins or Yugo Mausers so I could get the full experience of going through all of them. Unfortunately, now that I have my C&R, I can't seem to find any crates of anything at all. Surely the wholesalers are getting them by the crate. How do I?

If there is a thread somewhere about this (that is recent) please direct me to it.

Mosin Nagant M91/30 Rifles by the Crate - Sold Out!

We are being told there are no more of these coming into the country due to the conflict in Russia and the imposed sanctions.

Right, that's the only place I've seen them recently. Obviously places like Big 5, Samco, J&G, etc are getting M48's or M27/47 more than 1 or 2 every month. Gotta be a way to get a crate of goodies somehow

I would love to open the door one day and find a mosin crate on my porch.

So what's stopping us from working with importers and having them shipped directly to our house? An 03 FFL is still a dealer and is able to deal directly with an importer. I find it a bit far fetched that Big 5 has their own weapons import branch based upon their complete stupidity when filling out a simple transfer form.

So who are the importers? I know Century is. I don't see anything special listed on their website. Who is shipping rifles from the Czech Republic?

You mean, Bosnia and Croatia, right? Since that's where the Yugo Mausers generally come to the US from.

The recent importers would Century, Samco, PW Arms, R-guns, Wolf. The latter is in Anaheim.

Wolf being the same company that manufactures the ammo? I'm familiar with Century and Samco. Not the others though.

I didn't realize that the Yugo Mausers were imported from Croatia and Bosnia but I don't see why not. I figured the Czech Republic would be a likely exporter especially since they have a similar gun culture to ours (although still more restrictive).

Surplus guns are generally exported from their respective countries (well, the countries they were last stored at, anyway).

Yes, it's that Wolf, except for they don't manufacture any ammo, various factories manufacture it for them. Wolf imports quite a lot of interesting stuff, including, for example, Veprs and many of the Molot-refurbished Mosins.

Interesting info nick. Do they have a dealer registration that you know of?

You mean, Wolf? They do, but I don't think they work with 03 FFLs. You either have to be a dealer, or there's a way to work with them without an FFL (but it has to be a firearms-related business).

                        No.

An FFL03 is a collector. There is nothing expressed or implied in an FFL03 license to allow the licensee to act as a dealer.

                          That would be 07 correct?

This is correct - It is expressly forbidden to act as a dealer with an 03 license.

Sorry, I misspoke. My point was that we can go straight to an importer instead of going to a LGS.
