    First K31

UPS man just dropped my first K31 from AIM. Initial impressions are great! Weight, balance, quality are all great too! I ordered a rifle, bayonet and some ammo.

Nice! And you got a troop tag as well. Congrats!

Yes, my mag is matching. Unfortunately the bolt is from an earlier gun. I was happy to find the tag! I don't reacall the serial number offhand, but it dates to 1941.

Nice score, good looking rifle. The troop tag is cool too!

Awesome - now go shoot it!

Here's a new bolt sleeve without a serial so you are good from there when you are fast enough...

K31s are just plain boring to shoot. They hit any and everything you point them at if you do your part. I'm truly sorry that you just contracted the SRD (Swiss Rifle Disease). There is no cure for it. You can only do your best to enjoy the rest of your life and spend a lot of time at the range!

Thanks for the info! I tried decoding some of that info....but no luck....can you work your magic? Is the bolt sleeve easy to switch out? I have to figure it out...

Guisan, wondering if you could use your decoding skills to tell me a bit about my troop tag?

Congrats on your K31 and very cool that it had a troop tag. I'm sure you'll love shooting it. Get the Swiss Products scope mount and you'll be amazed at the accuracy of your rifle.

Great great rifles. I highly suggest the Mojo Sights rear peep sight replacement for the original rear sight. Gives you a more modern sight picture, easy swap, looks period correct, and very accurate. Also a butt pad adaptor for the stock and a cush recoil pad helps with the burst capillaries on your shoulder... it kicks like hell.
