Just shot some yesterday out of my 1917. It is my go to 30_06 ammo now.

"Bubba" is what he and his ugly and ruined rifle really are.
First you are chopping up historic vintage rifles and sticking them in cheap and nasty looking plastic "dildo" stocks that look like some kind of futuristic sex toy that gay space aliens stick up each other's butts.
Next thing you know, you think "Deliverance" is a love story.

Anyone got a range report on the PPU Garand ammo?

Prvi ammo is excellent, and their brass is good for many reloads. I've been using a lot of PPU brass for my .30-06 reloads myself.

If you do plan on reloading, even 20 yrs down the line, start buying 30-06 brass when you find a good deal, or save the stuff you shoot. You can still get quite a bit, for cheap too. Hoard yourself a couple thousand casings........

The current generation I like to call the ".308" crowd. Very few new shooters ever pick up an '06 so I predict that the supply will start to dry up in the next couple of decades.

As for PPU ammo, I have found it to be of excellent quality in all departments except for accuracy. In my MNs and Enfields I can't get it to group any better than surplus, and in the Enfields it is much less accurate than surplus.

No experience with their M1 food.

I've shot the PPU and the American Eagle ammo specially loaded to M2 Ball status for use in M1 Garands and after about 200 rounds of each...I prefer the PPU. Both were reliable but the PPU ammo grouped tighter and more consistently from my '54 vintage rifle.

Have you shot any LC or HXP ball through your Garand? I'm wondering how the PPU compares to them.

Seems like a good price. Wish I could afford it.

Anybody wanna donate it to me?

                      Sorry, not sorry.

Apologies, sir. I have no experience with either load through the Garand.
