PPU Garand Ammo - Good deal?

Haven't had a chance to shoot my M1 Garands much, since I never got around to buying ammo for them.

Seems like PPU is a good choice to go with for Garand ammo? Is this a decent price at Cabelas right now.

Yes especially since CMP hiked their prices for surplus HXP. I now order new, fresh PPU ammo. I usually wait until SG Ammo has some in stock because they are usually cheaper than everyone else.

Here is the same from SG ammo but in a different box. $4.25 lower per 500 than the one I posted above. No ammo can though.

Yeap, Cabelas visa is great, it used to be free shipping, now is 5, still it's a deal and you get points on your purchases, which you can use for more purchases

PPU brass is very good.

If you don't reload, you can sell the once fired '06 brass.

The last can of HXP I received from the CMP was pretty gnarly. Rusted out can and super dirty tarnished ammo. Add a price increase in there and I now have no further use for that ammo. I have used PPU in many other calibers and it always shoots great. Seems like the best option nowadays other than reloading.

Prvi seems to be the go to ammo for a lot of our C&Rs. good brass, shoots great.

Same here. I bought 2 cans both rusted through. I transferred the ammo to other cans and tossed the unusable cans.
After this last increase I have decided to go with the Privi ammo.
