I was watching that auction for a bit too. Lost interest once it hit $400.

And when the guy that bought it dies, his widow or children will sell it for $50.

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

Funny thing about that rifle - there is no way to confirm it was built from a dragoon as opposed to an 1891.

I have been watching 91/59's this week and several that started at $.01 are up to $380 and $400 with 16 to 29 bids. I better get a pool table or a few yards of red felt. Most of mine are unfired so safety is a big question.
