If you are in SoCal, Calgunner K.G.B. has been having problems selling his Baikal Russian commercial Makarov. Not cheap but he sounds a bit negotiable. Just posting this because Maks have been rare in the CG Marketplace lately.

I agree, overpriced. It does say firm but everything is negotiable. The guys had already had, what three or four buyers flake on him? If I was in the market for a Mak, I would make him an offer. Or it will just sit there, wait a few weeks and if he doesn't get a buyer, he will become more negotiable.NRA Certified Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor, Shotgun Instructor and Range Safety Officer

Got me curious though, looking at completed auctions on GB, I see some selling for $200 (buy it now) and some bidded up to $350+.Comment

I see people on this forum pay way too much for guns all the time that a little judicious shopping and being patient would have gotten then a better deal.Comment

Problem is the price. It is very high for todays market. I just picked one up for $175 and considered that a smoking deal. Mine is the exact same gun. But I would value his at about $350.00. If he really wants to sell it, he should reduce the price $25.00 bucks a week until it moves.
However, saying all that, it is his right to ask what he wants. It is his gun and maybe he really does not want to sell it.Comment

to me 300-350 is an acceptable price depending on if it comes with extra mags/ammo, condition and what kind of Mak. Russian, Bulgarian, Russian commercial ect...Comment

I mostly agree but many still prefer not to have huge billboard import marks. Most my guns that do have import marks are of the smaller type. I guess it is somewhat like being slightly pregnant. I also prefer Arisakas to have an untouched mum but can deal with a barely nicked mum better than one crudely ground all the way off.Comment

I got my 380 IJ70 late last year for $250.
Seller listed at 300 and I would have done it then, but I waited a day and he dropped it so I'm happy. That $50 paid for my gas (almost).
He dropped the price today so might be last chance for this one.Originally posted by Kestryll:
