    Aimsurplus K31 bayonets

    Hi,

Which one do you recommend ?$39.95 X grade, $59.95 select grade or $79.95 unissued/unseralised? Are these worth this price? Shipping is another $15.

From pictures it looks like condition of select and unissued is the same other than no serial # on $79.95 one.

    Thanks

Select vs unissued depends on if you really want to spend the money

For me, I like my bayo condition to match my rifle condition as close as possible if I can help it

I have an unissued K31, so I'd get the unissued bayo since that'd match better

If I had a used K31, but it was in good condition, I'd just go select

Good suggestion, I was inclined towards select because they were issued and used by Swiss troops/citizens. By looking at pics select looks like are in better condition than unissued.

      Thanks

That would sort of make sense. An unissued would be stuck in a crate once it was made

An issued would at least be cared for, oiled, wiped down, etc...

I actually bought one each of the X and select grades. Both blades are perfect. No dings or chips. The only differance is, the X grade's handle is a little darker color, but still in great shape! X grade's blade has a few wear marks running length wise, probably from being removed from the scabbard more often.

If i was to buy again, i would just get the X grade. Although as stated above, if you have a perfect rifle, then ya gotta have a perfect bayo!

Ps, There is a small dent in my X grade's scabbard. The others is perfect.

Is select grade in excellent condition?

Ok, just looked at em again. BOTH blades have shiny wear marks running length wise, not just the X grade as stated before. Sorry, was from memory. The X grade's metal has a yellowish tinge, like a very light nickel plate color. Select grade is shiny white. Tried for pics, but just doesn't come out on phone. And both are Elsener made.

To answers your question, if compared to the X grade, i would say the Select is in excellent condition. Compared to un-issued, don't know bout that.

I don't see the unissued ones available. Were they on there at all? I can't remember...
