Mosin Accuracy and Jam-Fix Prototype Kit -- Opinions???

    Hi Folks,

This is in the works. I'd like your thoughts. I do apologize for the poor pic; I got to the shop and realized I forgot my camera so I used my phone:

    Would include:

    Magazine toe shim
    Tang shim
    Front action shim
    Recoil lug shim
    Barrel pressure pad
    Modified interrupter

    and

    HV magazine

This should fix any feed jams/rimlock encountered on Mosin rifles and carbines.

I currently have one prototype out and another getting ready to go out.

I've been running one on my personal Mosin for quite a while and it won't jam up, period.

I'd like your thoughts. Is this something you'd like to see? It's designed to fix the "hopeless case" Mosins, the ones that have resisted fixes thus far.

    Opinions?

    Regards,

    Josh

I dont have much mosin experience. When I owned my mosin I also owned a Czech 98-22 so I shot that more.

I love the ingenuity and entrepreneurship! There are a lot of mosins out there, I hope you sell a ton of product.

The one thing I question on it is the shims, not all of them need shims.

The HV magazine certainly works on my 28/30 though.

I agree, not all need shims.

On the other hand, when the wood shrinks, or is crushed, or the stock is simply not made right (in the cases of some wartime stocks), the interrupter can be overridden.

I am currently addressing two cases of rimlock from afar, and the prototype kits are made specifically in response to them.

My 91/30 could rimlock when I first got it, but it didn't do it as a habit. The M44 I used to have would rimlock all the time if I didn't manually stack the rims, and this should not have to be done.

There was one feller a while back with rimlock so bad that I failed to help him. I sold him an HV magazine and it helped a lot, but there was still an occasional problem.

The idea for a jam-fixing accurizing kit started then, and I started experimenting. When these current two folks came to me, I told them I was going to send a couple prototype kits.

This is where I'm at right now.

        Regards,

        Josh

I have not had any rim lock issues with mine so I don't really have any need for that. But I do like your shim kit. I shimmed mine myself. I think some people would appreciate the shim kit by its self. Makes it easy to accuratize a 91/30.

Would it work on my M39? I still haven't figured out how to fix the interrupter from getting jammed under the cutout slot in the magazine.

Take pics. Some Mosin magazines were a bit off-center with their cutouts and the fix is to just file the cutout square. (Newer manufacture Russian mags used square cutouts for that reason.)
