I love the lightweight gun- who's front sight is that? I have built a 4lb 8 oz rifle using NO plastic parts (sept the grip)- the downside, you have to cut holes in a lot of stuff. Not too handsome that way.

4lbs and 8oz? You got me beat by 6oz. I also thought about drilling holes to lighten the load. Who cares about the look of the rifle as long as the goal is achieve, which is sub 5lbs.
That front sight is by POF. It weights 2oz. and is made of aluminum.
