The SIG: Was going to get Ironwood to make a retro wood butt, bit for $300 LESS, this slick AR stock adapter is way cooler.
Bush 6500 Elite, 1-8 on an ADI. Ace stpck, Ruger FH. I will wholeheartedly suggest, that this gun is the best option for non-AR platform. Kalashnikov rugged by design, Swiss finesse in the execution.

The one that plays 3-gun with me, in his Tac Optic config: Also with a BL6500 1-8. PRI 15" front, Lilja bbl Jerry's brake, gold trigger.

Finally got this together in its final form. I had to make the front end to look right with this barrel. And make sure the barrel's weight savings were not squandered on a shoddy forearm assy. This barrel nut and carbon fiber forearm assembly are not availlable in stores. BBl finishes at 16.1 with that mini carlson brake perm attached. LP prismatic red dot. 5 pounds sans optics. This carbine balances perfectly right on the trigger guard. Perfect 50/50 weight distribution between your hands. Moving this gun to the target is not instinctive- it's telepathic

For casual range shooting, you'll have no problem at all. Lots of guys run these handguards for 3-gun matches. Complaints I've seen tend to come from guys running them for carbine courses/etc shooting 800+ rounds/day.

drilled a couple of holes and grinded down some plastic on the top so it will mount flush. used the original backing plates. Don't know about the handguard getting hot. i just built this upper and have not fired it yet.

Beautiful! How do you get the AFG2 to mount flush? I really love those troy frontends. Do you ever have any issues with the forend getting hot?
