Featureless Rifles Picture Thread

You guys running Battlecomps on your "featureless" builds sure seem like you're playing a risky game with your freedom and livelihood.

The CA DOJ states that:

(b) “flash suppressor” means any device that reduces or conceals the visible light or flash created when a firearm is fired. This definition includes flash hiders, but does not include compensators and muzzle brakes (devices attached to or integral with the muzzle barrel to utilize propelling gasses for counter-recoil).

The Battlecomp has been clearly shown to reduce muzzle flash in comparison videos.

Why take the risk when there are serveral other proven muzzle breaks from which to choose from?

Because the creators (CA guys) have been told by CA DOJ it's GTG. It's not defined as a flash hider. Also, I believe both of the owners are also SME's for the state of CA.

IIRC, That is only if the muzzle device is marketed as a "flash hider".

However we can all interpret the laws however we want. It's your call whether to run it or not. I don't have a featureless so I don't need to worry.

Will a PWS556 TTO be considered illegal on a Featureless rifle?

Im thinking about converting my AR to Featureless.
What would the comfort level be with the featureless grips compared to pistol grips? Huge difference?

PWS has an ATF letter confirming that the FSC556 is a muzzle brake not a flash hider.
The TTO is just a FSC556 without prongs according to their website.

So IMO GTG

There are threads specifically discussing these issues. Lots of good discussion if you use the search function for "FSC556".

Bottom line: BATFE letter holds no weight against CA AW laws. The normal FSC556 is a flash hider. No-go for featureless. Tines on end are designed to reduce flash signature.

TTO is good to go on featureless, since the flash suppressing tines are removed. I run a TTO on my featureless.

What the hell? This is a bad idea, bro.

Care to elaborate? Don't be turned off by the tape, that's just there to help secure the Kydex wrap over the PG, and to fill the remaining *small* hole between it and the stock, so that there is no "thumbnail hole" of any kind. Even that hole can't fit a single finger, but I figure might as well cover it to CYA on all bases.

Not sure if serious....

It's a real rifle dude. Not sure how serious one can get regarding real firearms, lol
