[QUOTE=anbu_yoshi;19518282]Ok, I spent the day converting and re-converting my rifles to featureless. Some of these rifles have made appearances in previous posts, but here is the collection. This is still not all of my tools. My apologies for the lack of classic Calguns "feet in the photo" tradition. lol

very nice, thanks for sharing .. while I know it might be subjective and prone to shooter preference, what's your personal opinions so far based on your experiences on the Miad with backfin having a thumbrest vs the typical grip wrap as to comfort, rapid/slow firing, and use in various shooting positions?

If you're bench shooting then it really doesn't matter too much. I found that the MIAD/Backfin combo was superb in situations were the support hand was needed to do other things (grab mags, charge, bolt release, etc...). I could pretty much hold the rifle one handed very comfortably. When I had the Thordsen, it was an awkward grip angle for me.

You could do these things with the grip wraps themselves, but it will generally require that you to wedge the buttstock against your body.

The Backfin is a really good design. Heck, Strike Industries is releasing a very similar, but uglier product soon. lol

I really appreciate it, this was exactly the information and user feedback I was looking for to help my decisions as to which featureless routes to go. Many thanks.

Looking for some clarification. Bought a 5.56 Medieval Muzzle Brake from troyind. The issue is on the back of the packaging in the description. "Provides dramatic flash reduction and reduced recoil while featuring aggressive diamond-shaped teeth for close fighting." Thats the first line in the description and please correct me if i am wrong but doesn't that make this muzzle brake not eligible for a featureless build because it states flash reduction? Thanks.

It is my understanding that if it's the one with an opening significantly larger than the bore, it's a flash suppressor. If it's the one with an opening that is the same size as the bore, it's a muzzle brake.

The consensus is it's generally a caution to utilize a MB where the manufacturer advertises any form of muzzle suppression; even just a little.

                  Still, it's your choice.

Thank for getting the weight, I have been asked that a few times and was too lazy to take it off and weigh it proper [emoji16]

I really like that CQR stock. Where did you order it? The online sites I've been seeing says preorder with 8-10 week shipment. Also have you shot with it yet? How comfortable is it?

Ordered from Botach on Dec 29th. Tons of back orders from what I read.

I haven't shot it, i'm going out to Angeles tomorrow.

For me personally it feels good, but I have talked to a couple other people and they feel like it's too short. It's all personal preference of course. I'm using a magnified scope and the eye relief is a tad better without having to adjust the scope/mount.
