excerpt from my Amazon review in Sept 2015
You should absolutely consider this for your AR or picatinny equipped tactical rifle. It functions almost exactly like those costing waaaaaaay more.
If you don't have a picatinny mount this comes with an adapter for the more traditional button sling mount. Slide the adapter over your button mount, insert lock pin and viola !!! you now have a picatinny mount for your new bipod...again...included with purchase.
The fascinating feature for the money is the tilt and pan which doesn't even come on the standard Harris bipod (MSRP $100.00+). You'll pay more for tilt and pan on the Harris unit and have unsightly springs sticking out. Don't get me wrong, I loved the Harris and planned on getting 3 of them till I found this one by UTG.
The feature I admire the most however is the ability to "park" the legs in either the forward OR rearward horizontal plane!! So if space is a premium in your rifle case, you can retract the legs rearward toward the trigger, or, if you prefer you can retract them forward toward the barrel. Another interesting feature (also found on the Atlas) is the ability to "cant" the legs 45 degrees from vertical either forward or aft of vertical. This gives you 5 positions in which to lock the legs.
The only feature missing are spring loaded leg extensions but what more than makes up for it are the notched legs. Usually, notched legs are only on units costing $100.00 or more. Don't discount notched legs until you have used a bipod without them and had to extend the legs equally on both sides without a notch to help equalize the extension side to side...an exercise in frustration you don't have to worry about with this bipod.
All steel and aluminum construction this thing feels, operates and looks bomb proof.
Search for "UTG recon 360"on You Tube and watch their short video, it shows the features.
All controls are positive and intuitive.
By all rights this should cost a lot more.
The 13.3 ounce weight is pretty comparative ...the Atlas BT-10 weighs 11.0 ounces...
this is NOT some built for "air soft" unit.
Wrote most of the above in 2015 but I'll say this...my only complaint is you can't lock out pan and tilt if say you're shooting from a bench
You CAN tighten "full boogy" the front and rear tension screws but after a magazine or so you'll need to adjust...does the Atlas lock out? I don't know...it only says you can tighten with the knob.
We own 2 of them since 2015...not gonna get an Atlas...not gonna get an upfeatured Harris

1. What a weak reply...you need to learn some manners, as several members have pointed out...I've read a lot of your posts in other people's threads.
You often come across as a jerk...try to be helpful, you have some knowledge and experience to pass on.
2. Learn English...I never said those expensive, heavy NV/LP items were useless...I said you won't really need it.../pointLast edited by ProtectThe2nd; 12-21-2016, 12:20 PM.Leave a comment:

Lol pretty sure the PVS-14 on my head makes the PEQ15 and my M720V on my rifle useable lol.Leave a comment:

I apologize, but I'm gonna ask anyway... If I go "featureless" can the removable mag remain? I have installed the "fixed" DFM mags, but am not opposed to what I'm seeing here either...Leave a comment:

The Fightlite SCR lowers are back in production. My guess they will arrive at Shot Show. Then we can do away with this butchery or our 15 style firearms....well at least they will look better and not be harder to shoot and operated safely.Leave a comment:

A.) a fire selector/"safety" is dangerous. No need for it, because a rifle is always loaded and ready to fire unless you've just checked the chamber. "Safety" is dangerous because it makes people careless and lazy. My own personal opinion / common (2) cents.
B.) it takes half a second to reach back from wherever your number 2 hand is to flick the safety.
C.) all due respect, but you could have asked this question without coming across as rude...

9-9/16
Edit:Keep in mind the LWRC has an end cap next to the castle nut which is thicker than most because it has an Ambi quick release for the sling. this end cap is 1/4 inch wide where it contacts the castle nut. You'll need to subtract what, about 1/8th inch from that 9-9/16? for a standard end cap. I'm sure you're aware you can increase the LOP of this set-up in a variety of ways...

It's about between #2 and #3 locking points. You can increase about an inch using the PRS extended buttpad.

Judging by that pic of your rig, I'm no awesome couchoperator who needs such advanced technical tech. I'm only a benchoperator who merely sets the rifle down with the mag removed and the bolt held open with a flag so I don't get yelled out by the RSOperator. A bench is kinda like that tripod thingy you got, so not sure how much "running" you're actually doing.
But I stand complacent in the knowledge that I still have a second opposable thumb to operate such a complex
lever.
