Here is my AK with the MMG.... I installed it for my wife. Figured I would much prefer her be able to use any of our toys, instead of having some that are exclusively setup for me.
Unfortunately, its an I.O. Inc M214...
I read and watched a lot of negative reviews on this rifle. For the price I got it for, I couldn't pass it up. Luckily I am not experiencing any mushrooming or deformities on the bolt/BCG or the trunnions. It doesn't need the rubber piece on the recoil spring either, as it slides back and forth without the BCG jumping out of the assembly. I guess I am just lucky. So far, over 1k shots. I stopped counting after I passed the 1k mark.

If I may offer a suggestion/explanation: The Hammerhead works best when you have a relatively nice place to put your thumb over the top. The bit of hardware you're running behind your end plate can't be good for comfort or stability. I'm running the build where the stock is installed on the Hammerhead itself and the buffer tube is a pistol tube with a foam pad. Loads more comfortable than you'd think.

Local member made this for me . It's awkward trying to hold 12lb + rifle , but spends most of time benching neways .

Got my frs15 yesterday for one of my rifles. It's nice but not the same. Simple thread protector on the barrel.

Can you show pics of how you mounted the AFG? (NVM, saw that you posted what you did)
I've been wanting something similar to an FRS15 stock type of grip for the AK platform. I may try this set up on my AK, since I have an AFG lying around. How does it feel when moving around?

Here is my featureless AK. I modified an AFG and integrated it with the grip mount. I tried the monsterman grip and they weren't as comfortable as the AFG mounted by the trigger. This feels more ergonomically correct. The muzzle brake is a fake flash suppressor and is considered a comp, but I think its questionable. I ordered an ak74 style comp just for peace of mind.
