Springfield M1A Scout Squad in Blackfeather chassis with Long Sight Plane (LSP) handguard, MAGPUL MIAD grip, Exile Machine fin for the MIAD, ACE skeleton stock, vortex rings with Patrolman 6X scope, some Sadlak internals and 10/20 CMI mags. Also has 45 degree MAGPUL BUIS that I'll take off and use for something else.

Next up, I'm thinking I need an LRB action in a Sage EBR setup. We'll see.

Maybe one of those pizza delivery bags would make a good mag carrier.

From the dead. Since Photobucket sucks, I had to change vendors. I updated my SPR rifle to featureless also. Since Magpul doesn't make Foliage parts anymore, I opted for FDE. I also built another rifle for lightweight, mid-range use.

Specs of my $1k build. I don't have the exact costs on hand, but I'll estimate what I remember. It's more now that the optic was added maybe by another $400 so a total of $1,400.

SAA billet upper and lower set - $150
    SAA H2 Buffer Kit
Ballistic Advantage Hanson Profile 16" Middy BBL, .625 gas block, VG6 Gamma Combo Deal - $200
Strike Industries Enhanced LPK with ambi safety and w/out trigger - I think it was $45 and had enhanced controls
    Strike Industries Dust Cover
    Norgon Ambi Release
    Odin XMR Extended Release
    Sig Ambi CH
    Magpul CTR
    Magpul MIAD with Exile Backfin
    Magpul MBUS PRO LR
    Mapgul MLOK AFG
    Leaper's UTG Pro 15" Slim MLOK Handguard - $150
    Streamlight Protac HLX - $100
Sharps Rifle Company Balanced BCG with Relia-bolt - $140
    Geiselle SSA-E - $160
    Leupold VX-R 3-9x40 and AR Mount - $400

This thing is light, balanced, damn accurate, very smooth, and an excellent mid-range AR. It out performs my Daniel Defense build that cost about the same (I ordered the upper).

Daniel Defense DDM4v11 PRO 18" rifle complete upper mated to a Spikes Calico Jack lower with DD parts Kit and Geiselle SSA-E. Optic is the Leupold 4-12x40 with AR mount. It is essentially a DDM4v11 with a different lower and furniture. DDM4v11 uses the SSA-E from factory. This one cost me about $1,300-1,400 to build. This gal is a pig, BTW. The bull barrel definitely adds a lot of weight. I wouldn't be running around with this thing for sure. It's a dedicated bench/prone rifle. It's accurate as heck though, but it still doesn't feel as good as my custom build above.

Sorry haven't figure out Imgur yet. Anyone know how to post the photo rather than a link?

Thanks! I like it too, and they're hand made with love by Baboosh. Took me a while to find the right end plate sling attachment that would keep it flush.

This is my first featureless build. My first actual build, really. I got into this hobby during the worst time in CA probably.

Anyway, this was a fairly budgeted build compared to some of the other ones I've seen here with my total cost being under 1k.

Oh, and before you question the legality of the AFG, I'm betting my jail time on my interpretation of the law, not yours. I like the way it feels and how it complements both the grip and the fixed stock.

Awesome. Those thumb rest really helps in holding the grip securely versus without a thumb rest
