Looks great. That's a very clever mod. I can't imagine how you are getting your thumb into the space between the UBR stock and the Hammerhead. I'd recommend to try a stock with more of an opening above the Hammerhead. Almost any collapsible stock that uses the standard end plate and castle nut would be a better choice.

Thanks Mark! I actually do have a CTR spare that I am planning on throwing on soon. But the great thing about this setup is that my thumb naturally rests right on the ambi safety switch. Now, I am looking at getting a different ambi switch with a bit larger lever, than the one I have now.

Here's my AR... It's not quite featureless yet but just getting started. I have had the Hammerhead for quite some time and never really got comfortable behind it. Until one day my buddy gave me his used Mako Magwell grip and I had a bright idea! I just drilled 1 hole and used a screw to hold both together securely. It feels very comfortable now and just wondering what you guys would think about it. Haven't shot with it yet but its quite an improvement overall feel with the just the Hammerhead.

FYI my rifle is not featureless and all I did to it was the grip mod. The stock is not pinned and the Pmag is blocked @ 10, thanks!

Actually it is featureless: Pinned stock, fake flash hider (slots are surface only. Will work until I get a brake), and the mags I have had since the early 80s (I'm 60).

Is that a Kurts Kustom Fake Flash Hider? I had one on my featureless for awhile and sold it on the trader some years back now. It's a pity Kurt died in that crash.

Sculpey is actually PVC plastic; it's not really clay. How good a result you get depends on your skill in working the material. It adheres to the existing grip quite well. You bake it in your oven to harden it. It can be brittle when hardened, how brittle depends on how thick you make it and how long you cook it. If done right it should work just fine for range use and plinking. I wouldn't put a sculpey clay mod to any use more intense than that.
