I figured it out but couldnt buy the replacement parts so gave up.

You have to temove the 2 pins then the rivets. If you look with the right lighting you can see slight indentations where the rivets are. I have a good pic somewhere that shows just where they are. At work Ill post when I get a chance. Wihen the rivets are out you can slide the whole thing out to see whats in there.
