Got them in time and before the rush. Now time to get some stripped lowers and maybe a pistol or two, or if the MDR actually delivers and can have a barrel extender + bullet button installed before Jan 1, 2017 then one of those. Then I can work on the fudd side of things, I always wanted a nice OU with ejectors and a lever gat.
Anyways, on to the current collection!
First, I have a modern, reliable battle rifle in the tavor. Battle proven, long piston design. Shoots surprising accurate with american eagle 62 green tips when I put glass on it to 100 yards and is on a bench with bags, looking at something like 2-3 MOA with fairly fast shots. Figure if I was slower, and used match ammo, I can get that down closer to MOA.
A nice "match" rifle in .308 from PWS with a tall PSR atlas bipod and a cheap primary arms 4-14 FFP scope, this thing is crazy good. Even with the lower end glass on it I can get sub MOA groups at 100 yard if I take my time and use 175 GR SMKs with the right conditions. And in one group I managed to put two bullets on top of each other. Yes, I know that a bolt action accurraized and personalized in 6mm something rifle will be a true match rifle, but this is the rush before the AWB, and I think those are safe yet.
A nice range toy in the vector, at first it had some feed issues, but as I put more rounds thru it, it gets more and more reliable. Granted it still do not like HP that much today, but 230 gr FMJs work, I don't think I will ever depend on this thing, but it is my buy it because it looks cool gun. Next up, UTS 15 (I just love pain and suffering...)
Then the russian steel, in the form of vepr-12. Always wanted a shotgun in the fold, always wanted something from the soviets, why not combine the two. This thing will **** anything I feed that is of the right power, bird, slug, 00. As long as I feed it hotter or heavier loads (basically more kinetic energy) it works all day.
