    Cutting a 16" to 14.5"...why?

This may be a noob question but other then cosmetics is there a reason to cut your 16" carbine down to 14.5 and pin the FH/MB? Is there any impact of it's effective range when it cut down?

    Its tacti-cool.

IIRC, a bayonet actually fits on a 14.5" barrel w/FH.

Usually less range since you normally lose FPS with the shorter barrel.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

This has been discussed before, for example:

Freedom does not die alone -- Camus, Homage to an Exile

People generally quarrel because they cannot argue -- G.K. Chesterton

It is proper to take alarm at the first experiment on our liberties -- James Madison
