    ? about Arsenal SAM7SF AK47

I am thinking about entering the AK platform. Looking at the Arsenal SAM7SF-84C (California version). I read the measurement with the stock folded is 28.1". What I want to know is can the muzzle break be permanently attached like on the 14.5" AR barrels to accomplish the 30" OAL, so I can keep the folding stock.

The muzzle break that comes with the rifle looks like it could be at least 2".
Time to nut up, or shut up.

i have the SAM7SF, but the stock is welded open.
yes the muzzle brake can be permanently attached just pin & weld or just tac weld. however IANAL and i do not knowthe legalities of what you are proposing.
BTW, i absolutley love my SAM7SF and my ARs don't see much action these days. I have been taking classes at Frontsight using my SAM7SF and i am close to DGing the rifle class.
the Arsenal AKs are much smoother and easier cycling compared to my Saiga SGL31-68. I would have bought the SLR-104, but it is a no-go in California.

You can add the muzzle break . It does NOT need to be permenently attached to improve your overall length . You can do something as simple as add a bayonet to get you over 30 and be able to use the folder

FFLs would touch my vz2008 with a ten foot pole when i tried to sell it because of tye bayonet making it over 30 with folded stock. They all tried to say it had to be welded when it really doesnt. Only thing that needs welding for length issues is a muzzle device to make a barrel 16 inches long, oal of the rifle is different as i understand it.

With that being said i imagine arsenals length measurement is to the end of the brake and not the barrel threads so you might need a longer brake.
