    C93

Ok. So I rolled the dice. Bought one from one of our calguns members and I gotta say...wow. This is one soft shooting gun. I'm really sorta infatuated with the thing now. Bolt gap is within spec and I will watch it. The Cali mag release really sucks but the gun itself shoots really sweet. Just wanna say maybe it's worth a roll of the dice

I've never shot one but I've fondled one at a local store and I was impressed. I don't say that about WASR but a c39 is a different animal. You get a lot for your money in today's market. I've also handled a SAM7 and although it is an amazing rifle, I question if the overall package justifies its asking price of over 1200
    FOR SALE:
    A2 birdcage $5
WTT CCI small pistol primers for either large pistol, small rifle, or large rifle

C93 is a Cetme/HK pattern in 556, not an AK

        I believe a C93 (not C39) is a HK pattern 5.56 gun.

OP: where did you get the mags? Those are impossible to find, or outrageously priced.

It came with one. Apex guns or something in CO has hk mags for 40/per in a 4 pack but those aren't legal anyways. Pro mags actually for this have a decent rep and I am having some sent to Arizona where I will grab them and pin them.

One of my favorite rifles. I'm still surprised how accurate they are for the $$. I had to put in oversized rollers to get to a better "headspace" range so I'm monitoring the trunnion - but now it eats everything I feed it. Mags are the only drawback. Bought original used ones and the feed lips were so worn, they are actually sharp so I have to pay attention when loading or get sliced up.

How do you tell if the bolt gap is within spec?
I have been intrested in buying one for a while but the horror stories have kept me from pulling the trigger.

Have to use a feeler gauge.

                        Here's good read up http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_6_9/206...ta_inside.html

With century it's a crap shoot, try before buying if possible. I bought a fully functional century c93, out of spec gap but performed 100% with steel case, surplus and factory ammo.

The v53 and v93 are like 1200 and 1400. BUT yeah sure bets. You won't have problems. C93 are around 7 but it's a gamble. I hope PTR does these one day
