I am showing a cheap version and the original version of the mag the solid lock type is the original and the pressed lock is the cheap, stay away from the cheap they tend to feed the round into the weapon rough. The other photos are the correct way to insert the mag into the weapon it's loaded at a slight forward canter then slapped into the weapon to lock it in place.

WHERED IT GO !, IT'S ONLY A LITTLE LEAD.LETER SEE ,UP 40 CLICKS AND LEFT 20 CLICKS," OH DARN, I DUNO WHERE IT IS?

No, it's perfectly legal to use the 20-round mags that you had before the import/manufacture/sale ban went into effect in 2000, as long as you don't have a pistol grip, "flash-hider," or any other "evil features" on the same gun.
"If we are to go around and decide who can and who cannot be free to live their lives in a way that is most conducive to their "pursuit of happiness" as long as it does no harm to others then our own freedoms are merely at the whim of the government because we are empowering them to decide that some rights are worth protecting and others aren't. True, but incomplete explanation...
If you have a detachable-magazine rifle in a legal configuration, you may use ANY legally acquired magazine of ANY capacity in that legally configured, detachable-magazine rifle. The presence/absence of "evil features" only trigger wether or not your rifle can legally have the "capacity to accept" a detachable magazine.

The CMI (Check Mate Industry) is known as the most recent government contractor for M14-style magazines.

I believe the mags sold by Springfield are from CMI without marks.

If you could find some "Type-57" magazines from Taiwan, those would be excellent spare parts. Too bad, these "type-57" mags are all in 20-round format.

For current market, as others said, check with "44Mag.com". They have good selections.

10 round magazines are the only ones available in California to buy. Speaking of which, when do you suppose 44mag.com will have more 10rd CMI mags in stock? I know they're sold out at the moment. I blame it on the upcoming elections.

I'm not having a glass of wine, I'm having SIX. It's called a tasting and it's classy.
