Not defending Bushmaster but these CA compliant 10 round mags are crap.
99% of any AR issues Ive ever had have been from magazines/followers.

^ What the guy with my avatar said.
In other words, did you ever try different mags?

My 10/30's have never cause my AR to jam? I have 10 of them and they all work well.

Hey bud, Check the join date! Running it since '02 on the interwebz. Actually tired of it but it's been so long running... (all fun. Seen it on others around sites)

Crap mags will double feed, feed at an angle or not push high enough to let the bolt grab the round.
Might be too simple a solution but it is very common.

We're talking about the .308 and not the 5.56, right?

                  Yeah well...
Look at how many posts I have then look up adverse possession. Plus I'm probably older than you and have actually hung out with Jerry and Doyle

But I def agree on the mags, try them on a rifle that is known to run well, and try the mags from that rifle on your problematic one. Check the easy stuff first

I can't comment on the Bushmaster but I'm happy with the M&P10. However, it's not perfect straight out of the box. The mags need to be changed in favor of Magpuls. And this is a gun that really does need to be broken in. Not so much the barrel, but the bcg, because it's really tight. It takes about 200 rounds to wear it in. Pretty expensive break-in, or you could lightly oil it, then cycle the action a few hundred times to simulate firing. Sounds like a lot of effort, but do it during the commercial breaks of your favorite show and that'll do it.

thanks for this info , Knowing this on the M&P10 { mag / break in period}, Would you have considered another rifle? Or still purchase the M&P 10?
