Check out Shillen, Obermyer, Rock Creek, Krieger, Lilja, Bartlein.

OP here ya go. Give this a read.

This post is about the rifle barrels the best precision rifle shooters are using. It is based on what the top 50 long-range shooters nationwide brought with them to the Precision Rifle Series (PRS) Finale a couple weeks ago. These are tactical/practical style matches with target engagements ranging from 25 to 1,200+ yards, but there ...

To everyone suggesting adjustable gas blocks: what brand do you recommend or does it really matter that much? I'm looking at the JP low pro adjustable gas block because it seems to be the most reasonably priced.

For ease of adjustment I like the SLR Rifleworks adjustable blocks because they dont require any tightening of set screws or detents to push down for adjustment. Their adjustment screw has built in detents that click like the turret of a scope as you turn the allen wrench to adjust it. You can even count the number of clicks you need for specific loads so you can tune for each one individually without having to test fire afterward to check function.

              That is good knowledge.

OP spend the coin on a JP barrel and bolt.

Any geissele trigger will serve you well.

Fmjbt had a good suggestion. SLR is my preferred followed by syrac for adj gas blocks with click style turn settings.

Your right!!! I think I should hold out for the JP barrel combo.

I just pick up the Geissele 2 Stage (G2S) Trigger instead of CMC.

                    My build so far:
                    -PSA PA10 lower/upper cerakoted tungsten
-PSA Buffer tube assembly with Magpul STR Stock and .70 buttpad
                    -PSA LPK W/O Trigger
-ODIN Works 15" Key Mod Rail
                    -Geiselle 2 stage trigger

I'm thinking of going with WMD BCG and Primary Arms 4-14X44 FFP .308/.223 Reticle. I have decided on barrel yet. Keep going back and forth.

How is the fit for the upper to the lower? Is there any slop or is it tight?

                          ^ good question.

It actually does have a little slop. It's more than I would like. I'm going to try one of those rubber spacers to tightening up.

Slop doesn't affect accuracy. Wedge it if it bugs you, or stick an O-ring around the rear takedown lug, but it won't matter to accuracy. At least it doesn't in an AR15 so it shouldn't in the big brother.
