I am thinking of selling my old Hakim that I have had for 35-40 yrs. If sold PPT to a C&R holder with COE how is that done. I get copy of the C&R license and the COE or???.

I am thinking of selling my old Hakim that I have had for 35-40 yrs. If sold PPT to a C&R holder with COE how is that done. I get copy of the C&R license and the COE or???.

As the seller of a C&R long gun via cash & carry, do the following:
1. They show you their C&R FFL and COE.
2. You check to see that they are valid (unexpired).
3. They hand you payment.
4. You hand them the C&R long gun.
5. They record your info (CA DL/ID) into their bound book.


Optional:
1. You get a copy of their C&R FFL and COE.
2. You submit a completed Notice of No Longer in Possession (BOF 4546) with the copies of their C&R FFL & COE to CA DOJ BOF.
