Wow. Thanks for all the great suggestions. Looks like I'll just have to go out and shoot. I appreciate everybody taking the time to chime in.

I usually use the Federal value pack from big 5 or the CCI blazer HV stuff. They cycle well and I can get 2-3 inch off hand at 25 yards with my 22/45 very consistently so I'm happy. Nothing like shooting 500 rounds in one trip and cost me only 11 bucks...

Never use aguila .22 LR. I have had nothing but problems I bought some at a gun show once and went shooting, What I found was that I had missfires every2 rounds, I thought it was a bad batch so at the next gun show I bought some from another guy and went shooting, same deal. Aguila = POS

Hehe, yeah but Aguila HYPER ULTRA MEGA (whatever) VELOCITY is some fun stuff. Don't count on accuracy out past 25yds or even for every round to go 'bang', but it'll sure put a dent in sheet metal.

Aguila HYPER Super Max, .22 LR
          30 gr HP
          1750 fps

Oh, and the Aguila CB Primer fired rounds are pretty awesome, too. You can shoot them in your garage and it sounds like a small mousetrap going off.

You could try Lapua Midas M. Goes for about $1100 per case (5000 rounds, 500 x 10) or $125 per brick.

My 10/22 carbine will eat anything but my MK2 pistol jambs on many types I've tried, the best results with it are remington yellowjackets.

I have found that the Winchester Super X, XT22LR works in all my .22's, both handguns and rifles. They are round nosed, copper washed, 40 gr. About $14 a brick of 500. They are a little more expensive but are clean, consistent, and reliable. HTH c good

Federal copper wash cycles fine in my 22LR AR... CCI blazer has more of a kick. The Aguila (?) Thunderbolt ammo also pops nicely.

just to be fair they are probably extremely good ammo, just an observation, please don't take it as a bash...
