The pins are a standard size on most akm's so you shouldn't have a problem finding them -
A drill bit works nicely. Check the size against the holes, and drive in and cut off. Also, there is a finish nail that is perfect size, but forget what it was. I had cut the pins shorter that engage the Saiga handguard when I went to a standard AK type. later wanted to go back and had to replace the cut front pin with a longer one. Just used a finish nail. I had to round the point, as it was four sided and had ridges that were over size.
