    80% AR lowers in Ca?

Is it legal to own or build an AR in California with an 80% lower? I've been searching for this question and can't find it. I thought I remember hearing they are illegal but I can't remember Thanks in advance!

i don't think there's any per person limit. you just need to make them yourself without any assistance, and they need to conform to all the other laws... must have a bullet button unless it is featureless, etc...

              Gents,

Please check out the Federal Excise Tax provisions in Title 26 of the United States Code. There does not appear to be limit on the number that you can manufacture, but it does appear that you need to pay Federal Excise Tax (even if you keep them all for personal use) after you make 50 in a calendar year.

California law requires you to have a state manufacturers license if you make more than 100 weapons in a year.
