Very cool look, I think in the movie 'Lone Survivor' they rattled can their rifles too. The thing only I question in both, the Lone Survivor and American Sniper, are the pistols. I thought Navy SEALs used pistols like Sig P226's and H&K's, both movies shows them using Beretta M9's. Another question is in the movies the Navy SEALs aren't wearing any plate carriers/body armor, is this typical of Navy SEALs?

        Why paint a gun?
California's politicians and unionized government employees are a crime gang that makes the Mexican drug cartels look like a Girl Scout Troop in comparison.

Nice to who? you or them? Different people have different views as to what's nice and what's not.

With that said, I like my guns black.

Regarding armor, I don't know about SEALs, but apparently back then there was a shortage or it was not widely issued. Many bought personal armor if there were no regulation issues. That's what I heard at least, not sure if this is entirely true. OP Redwing was in 05, so that was quite a while ago. That and reconnaissance may have different loadouts.

In the book he mentions that his in laws bought him dragon skin armor.
