You're better of with a $400 .308 unless you plan on taking out taliban from 2000 yards away haha

PSA is good to go. as good as any other.
Slapping an upper onto a lower is not "building" an AR-15.

What part of "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" do you illiterate pawns not understand!?

I bought "budget" uppers and LPK's from PSA. Never had a single problem. Not everybody wants to drop $1500 on their first AR. I have a feeling you'll be good to go.

True. Hopefully I dont run into any. My intention was just something to punch holes, not really putting it through heavy use. Besides, when the wife watches everything you buy especially when she doesnt want you to have a huge arsenal, you have to get what you can. I also wanted to build my own for the experience.

Relax, PSA stuff is just fine. If you aren't planning on deploying someplace, you won't have any issues going with a budget set up like this. Heck, I still have some Model 1 Sales builds that are still running strong. Budget doesn't always mean "crap". Especially right now. PSA is known for slow shipping occasionally. And their customer service people can be a bit difficult to get a hold of. But their prices are good, their quality is good, and their customer service (once you reach them) is usually better than most. For an entry-level AR, this is a great deal. No worries.

It's like anything else. Those who actually have rifles/parts from PSA know that in most cases they are great. Those who spent $1500+ on their rifles elsewhere will tell you the PSA stuff is crap without having any experience with it. No offense to anybody here. We're all entitles to our opinions.

Yea, The prices are great. I have been lurking on that site for 6 months. I got an M&P 15-22 about 6 months ago for fun. Now I want to expand the family. I ordered the kit. Hopefully it doesnt take long to ship.

Yes, Opinions are what I wanted. But it would be nice to get a reason as to why they think it is bad other than the influence of the price.

                          I second ds94901.
PSA stuff is gtg. Just be ready to wait several weeks for it to ship. The CHF barrels are said to be top notch.

I bought one of their Black Friday premium rifle kits which I believe are still on sale for $466. shipped.

I put it on an 80% lower I got for free and milled myself.

I put one of PSA's $44.99 Bushnell TRS-25's on it and now have the cheapest AR I've ever built.

I had it a Field Time 3 times this week and have got about 720 rounds downrange with it.

I don't see any difference between it and my Bushmaster or my Rock River Arms kit rifles.

The biggest problem you will have is waiting for it to ship.

I'll see if I can find the link.

Does anyone have a ball park number of how long they had to wait for stuff that they ordered from PSA? I'm hoping that the holidays are over so shipping time would be less.
