    Iron Sights AR 15! Help

Okay so I'm a complete noob when it comes to Iron sights on my new AR 15. I know how to do everything else but that. As of right now it shoots great at 25 yards. At 100 yards it doesn't show on a 12" bulls eye style target. Sniff**
When I looked at all the knobs and gizmos on the sights I got confused and probably made them worse without knowing it....

Use the small aperture, adjust the front sight post for elevation at 50m and the rear for windage.

Keep your nose to the charging handle. It's a bit counter-intuitive, but having a small size aperture circle appear as big as possible will help you keep your sight picture best.

Work on trigger discipline and follow-through. Don't slap - squeeze gently (the bang should "surprise" you)- and make sure you hold on target until after the gun is fired.

I wasn't trying to insult you, but if you're not hitting a 12" target at 100yds when you zero'd at 25, then something is wrong with what you're doing, or the rifle has a mechanical issue (something is loose).

If you're not seeing holes on paper the last thing I'd do is adjust my sights. I'd quarter the target (shoot the top middle, bottom middle, right and left, then top right corner, etc) until I could see my hits. You only adjust sights when you know where you want the bullet to go.

Since you can hit a 25yds, start at 50yds.. If your hitting paper and on target then go to 75yds, if not make the necssary changes.. s one and so forth..
