    Large pin upper/lower question

Does anyone make large pivot pin lowers anymore? I need a lower with the old Colt large (.315) front pivot pin diameter to go with my Colt 604 upper. I tried the offset pivot pin adapter bushing from Brownells, but the lock up between the upper and lower sucks!! It allows the upper to wiggle from side to side, not to mention lotta daylight between the upper and lower. I looked at NODAK, but it looks like thier pin holes are the .250 size. Help please.
    They gave, so we have.

Loosen the offset pivot pin and reposition it till the upper and lower are flush, I had the same issue til I made the adjustment, if you can't manage that then install an accu-wedge and that should remove the slop.

Those adapter bushings are OFFSET so you have to place them carefully.
I recommend installing them with green loctite once you get them in the correct spot.
Once the loctite cures, you will be fine using a standard pivot pin and a standard lower with your big pin upper.

Randall, is the bushing supposed to fit snuggly in the lower? Mine just falls through. Getting it to line up correctly is a PITA! It keeps turning while i attempt to insert the pin, and or close the upper. Im going to mic the hole and bushing tomorrow to get the actual sizes.

They usually DO fit loose and that's the problem.
Loctite 620 (sleeve retaining compound) will hold the bushing in place.
You just need to figure out if it's supposed to be clocked to 3:00 or 9:00 and then set it in place with the loctite 620.
Give that overnight to cure and the bushing will effectively be part of the upper receiver after that.

aaaaah.. Thanks Randall! I dint know bout Loctite 620. Iv just heard about people using Loctite blue. I could'nt see how that would work very well because its so thin. I'll get the 620 and give it a shot! Thanks!!
