San Diego calgunners: best place for Stripped AR lowers

Hi all. As I refine my technique for machining 80% lowers, I find myself wanting a finished stripped lower to have on hand.

Where's a good place in San Diego that's got the best price on lower recievers?

Call around. Who has what on sale changes too often to keep track of. Make sure that they have them in stock and at the sale price before you go. I have had issues with several places in the past trying the bait and switch routine. Oh, and while I have been a big fan of JD Machine in the past, I wouldn't bother trying to get lowers from them at this point. Their "sale" prices are usually higher than retail prices elsewhere. Turner's usually have the lowest price, but as I said, call around. You can normally get them in the <$70 range, +DROS and taxes.

Shot at The Gun Range today and they had a New Frontier Armory lower for 49.00. Very good price!

You know what really sucks. Its going to cost you more in government fees than the lower will cost. Lowers can be had for about 50$ several places. Add 25 for dros and 25 for the new FSC and then 8 for taxes.

Been looking for a stripped CMMG or Doublestar lowers in San Diego, but cannot find either; had one of each and sold them a few years ago. A little sellers regret

I picked up my Anderson lower reciever yesterday at Empowered Firearms in Vista for $49. They matched it to the lightweight Anderson upper I brought in.

Since I picked it up AFTER the 1st, I got dinged for the new FSC, an extra $25. I didn't have to buy a gun lock, I went in with 3 in case, I gave one away to another customer. I did have to "perform" a safety check with a snap round and a S&W M+P AR-15 they had on the rack.

I went in last year to beat the FSC requirement but picking up after the 1st forced me to buy it.
