"click the link go to page 176 or 177 of 243 on the pdf and print that page. (A6) is the question/answer your looking for home builds. I think that's what you were looking for. I keep the flow chart and this in my range bags mainly because you never know when you might run into a LEO that isn't up on homebuild laws or configurations of so called firearm."

Wow, some crazy posts here by Calgunners.

I also carry the paperwork listed above in my gun case, just in case. People can claim what they want, but you never know when you might run into a LEO in a bad mood. Sure, it will all be fixed later, but what a hassle. It does not always work out like you think, life is not fair, get over it. Cops don't always know the law, cops don't always make the correct decision, and when you get screwed, they don't always make it right later............

I carry a copy of the Calguns flowchart showing that my featureless gun is not required to have a bullet button. I carry a copy of the law showing that it is not illegal to manufacture your own lower. And I carry a copy of the letter that Governor Brown signed stating he is not signing a law requiring serial numbers on guns.

Call it paranoid or whatever, but I find that it is better to stay out of trouble than try to fix it afterwards. Plus, if I show documentation to a LEO and he still decides to arrest me or impound my guns I have a much stronger case.

After years of getting in trouble as a youth, in my old age I find it is just easier, and cheaper, to stay out of trouble in the first place.

"No, but what I do expect is if a LEO is not aware of any law being broken he would do nothing and be on his way instead of: "he would just take my guns and let the courts figure it out."

Your expectation, while rational, is not realistic.

All this is why: more laws, less justice. If the people responsible for enforcing laws can't possibly know all the intricacies of every law on the books, and neither can a typical citizen, how is there any real justice?

I don't know how, but I want to find somebody who does... get a measure on the ballot that you can only be in violation of the penal code if you infringed on another's life, liberty, or property. This will make it easy on everybody.
