Converting LR-308 to bolt need some advice...

Anyone know of a shop that can convert upper to side bolt action.. I know by shutting off gas and using charging handle it would be the same, but with my finished 80% I have now been told that because of how it was originally put together the buffer is to far back and won't ever cycle the rounds correctly. Trying to atleast salvage the build and use this lower with a bolt action upper. I already placed upper on different lowers and now works great. So HOPEFULLY someone here knows a shop that can converter upper receiver or sells one already with side charging handle (in stock) thanks again everyone..

Was the lower out of spec? I would check with Randall, (AR Barrels) if you live in his area. I have heard of others adding material to the end of the bolt carrier to help compensate for an offset detent.

Yeah looks like the detent is slightly to far back on this lower. On my M1machine lower, upper cycles fine. But now have 1 full complete rifle and 1 complete lower with stripped upper receiver that I'd like to finish but want IT to work.

fill the buffer detent hole in and redrill out. not the easiet but certainly possible.
Also do your research the detent hole is 6degree and not perpendicular to the receiver iirc
