All the brass case ammo is around .40 cents and up.

Use regular ammo and use savings to go shoot somewhere with no range nazis. Win-win

Not terrible. Good ammo and you can sell the brass to recoup some of your cost.
Personally, I reload x39 for all my brass-cased,non-magnetic needs...

Lots of non-magnetic ammo around, but a good deal of it is corrosive. So what, wash the firearm down soon after you are through shooting and no problem. I have found some of the Wolf yellow box at Fowlers in Orange but have not been in there recently.

My latest thing is buy a box or two of more expensive Remington or Winchester 7.62 every so often. Other manufacturers also have brass-cased, reloadable 7.62. I have been saving the brass. I have the reloading dies. Soon I will have enough to really make the reloading process on 7.62 a reality.

For me the issue is that different ammo have different zero. Most of my AKs are zeroed with my favorite, GT 7.62x39, and they have remained that way for a long time. But when I go to ranges or schools where only non magnetic bullets are allowed, I'm off target. Hate to use different rifles for different ranges/schools, but that's how things are going to be.

At least the zero on Yugo M67 is pretty close to GT, but Arsenals and S&B 7.62x39 zero higher.

Is the concern about dinging up indoor metal backstops or starting a fire with a rock strike. My range is outdoors shooting into a soft dirt hill. Do I need to buy lead core?

                    Smart thinking.

FWIW M67 was probably my all around favorite round in 7.62x39. Very reliable and consistent and it used to be dirt cheap and common as hell.
Corrosive primer isn't a big deal.
Sadly, M67 is going the way of the Dodo.
